Heriberto Alcázar

The constant search for the Mexican sugar skull causes an eagerness to rescue images from the past. Perhaps it doesn't matter so much about the specific realism of the skull or to try to make it look Mexican by the adornments. These traditional tattoo artists wanted to make the skull colorful and that is the reason why they added colorful designs and obtained an impeccable decoration. This is when this design and its variants begin to form a definitive part of the tattoo world.

Color front and back cover, black & white illustrations of sugar skulls.
